Dr Sagie Naidu was born in Durban and graduated from the University of Natal in 1986. He graduated as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1992 from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. He subsequently underwent specialized training in reproductive medicine in various centres around the world and registered as a subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. He received a senior research fellowship from the Medical Research Council Pregnancy Hypertension Unit in 1993.
He entered private practice as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1994. From 2003 he is the Clinical Director of Durban Fertility Clinic. He is a member of South African Society of Reproductive Medicine of Gynaecological Endoscopy (SASREG)
He is also a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He is currently an Executive member of South African Society of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (SASOG), serving as the Honorary Secretary.
Dr Mahesh Bhana matriculated in Johannesburg and obtained his MBChB degree from the University of Natal Medical School in 1987. He acquired his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the College of Medicine in 1994, and started private practice in 1997. Whilst in practice he developed a keen interest in reproductive medicine resulting in further local and international training from Singapore and Denmark.
He is registered as a specialist in reproductive medicine with the HPCSA. He is also a member of the Durban Obstetric and Gynaecology Society, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the South African Society of Reproductive Medicine and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. He is the Clinical Director of the Durban Fertility Clinic since 2003, in partnership with Dr Sagie Naidu.
Neville hails from Durban and holds a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Technology - Reproductive Biology, Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Kwazulu Natal, Bachelor of Technology in Clinical Technology - Speciality Reproductive Biology (cum laude) and a National Diploma in Clinical Technology - Speciality Reproductive Biology.
He has joined the DFC team in 2009 as the lab director and embryologist. Previous to this he worked as the Chief Embryologist at Steve Biko Academic Hospital-Pretoria.
Kasturi Govender has been with Durban Fertility Clinic for the last 15 years.
She is the IVF co-ordinator for Drs. S Naidu and MC Bhana.
